Ardross Primary School now access a natural woodland area behind Easter Ardross Farm that was cleared through links with the community and the school working as a partnership. This is to increase the use of outdoor learning by discovering, exploring and connecting to the natural world. Learning for sustainability and to increase their knowledge, skills and understanding of outdoor environments and to increase their positive impacts of learning outdoors on HWB.
They also have new natural seating for their playground for an outdoor classroom and they are inviting their parents in for a profile session next week to experience an outdoor lesson. Our PSA is also working through her Forestry Schools Award which is an invaluable asset to our school and children. Our teachers are also part of OWL (Outdoor Woodland Learning) which is a new group which has been set up within the Highlands.
