Newsletter

It continues to be a fairly busy time at Ardross Primary and we have a few different faces around at the moment!  Beth MacKenzie (childcare student) and Hayley Sim (teaching student) continue their time in school, and we would also like to welcome Rachel Knuttel who will be in P4-7 for the next few weeks and is a teaching student from America!  We hope the children enjoy having some extra help around and thank our students for the dedication and interest they have shown so far.   As the weather has been better of late, we intend to take the children out for short walks in the sunshine to learn more about the outdoors.

Music Tuition

Sue Drever will be in school on Monday next week instead of Tuesday.

Mike Simpson will be in P4-7 next Monday, 21st  March and also on Monday, 11th April.  John Thompson will be in   P1-3 next Tuesday, 22nd March and for another two Tuesdays after the holidays.

Easter Experience

P5-7 has been invited to the Capstone Centre on Monday, 21st March for their Easter Experience.   Staff cars will transport the children down after lunch and they should be back in time for the bus home.

Rugby

Our pupils have thoroughly enjoyed their rugby sessions these past few weeks and we are extremely grateful to the Active Schools Co-ordinator, Martin Godwin, for arranging this.  The final session will be next Tuesday, 22nd March.

Mobile Library

The Library Van will visit school on Tuesday, 22nd March and again on Tuesday, 12th April.  Please ensure your child returns any due books.

Class Trip

Following our WWII topic, P4-7 will visit the Invergordon Museum on the morning of Wednesday, 23rd March.  Transport will be by the Community Minibus and pupils will return in time for lunch.  No money is necessary but please provide your child with juice/play piece if you wish them to have something.  Many thanks.

School Meals

From 11th April 2016 school meal prices, for those who currently pay, will rise to £2.30 per day.  Snack prices will remain at 15p per item.   New summer menus will be issued next week.

Clothing

A reminder that all children should be in our royal blue & white school uniform please, and all items should be labelled with your child’s name.  Any donations of unwanted, new/used clothing are greatly appreciated and should be put in our new Rag Bag collection bins in the playground.

Easter Celebration

As always, our last day of term will be an Easter Celebration.  Children are invited to enter our Easter egg competition, details of which have already gone out, and we will also have an Easter Bonnet competition (bonnets to be made at home).  The Nursery will be invited over to join us and we will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt.

School will close at the usual time on Thursday, 24th March and re-open at 9am on Monday, 11th April 2016.

HAVE A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!!
