The last few days of this term are extremely busy but hopefully also very enjoyable for the children. Here is a final note of what’s happening in school before the holidays.
CAROL SERVICE
We would love to see all of you at the Ardross Church at 1.30pm on Wednesday, 16th December, for our Annual Carol Service. We will have an early lunch at 12noon then children will be transported up to the Church by Rapson’s, who have kindly again given us a free bus for the event. After the service, it’s back to school for coffee and mince pies for everyone! There will be a collection taken which will be donated to the Children’s Ward, Raigmore Hospital.
CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Please note there will be NO TOAST served at break-time on Thursday, 17th December. Mrs MacDonald will once again produce her fabulous Christmas Lunch for the children at the normal cost of a school meal (for those who normally pay). Lunch will be served at 12noon.
**On ‘normal’ days, please can parents remember to either provide their children with a snack for break-time or with toast money (15p per slice). We have a lot of children at the moment complaining that they are hungry at break-time but with neither money nor snack. Many thanks.**
PIRATES VERSUS MERMAIDS
The children (and staff!) have all been working very hard rehearsing for our Performance which will take place at 7pm in the Ardross Hall on Thursday, 17th December. Tickets priced at £5, and £3 concession, are available either on the door or in advance from Fiona in the office. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served and we also have an amazing raffle; huge thanks to those of you who have donated prizes and also those parents who have worked hard to secure raffle donations on our behalf.
NURSERY CAROL CONCERT
P1-3 will attend the Nursery Carol Concert at 11.30am on Friday, 18th December. P4-7 will attend their last swimming session for this term. Please note, swimming will resume for P4-7 on Friday, 15th January 2016.
CINEMA TRIP
The whole school will attend Vue Cinema on Monday, 21st December. The coach will collect us just after 9am and children will all be given juice and crisps at the venue. Please note NO money is required. We will then return to school for lunch.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
As usual, we’re having an all-day Christmas Party on the last day, Tuesday 22nd December. There will be NO TOAST served in the morning but children are welcome to join in our buffet lunch at 12noon for the usual cost of a school meal. We will have plenty dancing in the hall in the morning and we’re hoping for a visit from Santa in the afternoon. School will then close for ALL PUPILS at 2.30pm and re-open at 9am on Thursday, 7th January 2016.
